INDEPENDENT AUDIT SERVICES

Fritzsche Accounting provides independent auditing services to the greater non-profit community.  Fully two thirds of my annual workload is in the non-profit domain.  I offer experience, personal service and a unique approach to independent auditing.  Fritzsche Accounting received an unmodified Peer Review report in May 2008.  Click here to see a copy of the peer review report.

My approach is to go beyond the arithmetic of the financial statements to find out how the mission of the organization is embodied in those numbers.  Is the organization bringing all of its resources to bear to fulfill the mission?  What are the strengths – were could things be improved?

I am pro-active in my analyses and recommendations.  I am often told by new clients that they have never had an audit quite like the one they had from us. And they mean that in a very positive way!

I have completed over two hundred (200) audits of non-profit organizations, including:

  • Community-based organizations

  • Small colleges and high schools

  • Governmentally funded organizations

  • Trade Associations

  • Charities

  • Labor Unions

I perform audits is accordance with generally accepting audit standards (GAAS), Government Auditing Standards (yellow book), and OMB A-133 (federal single audit).

Please contact me to receive a complete proposal to provide independent audit services.

FEDERAL AND STATE TAX PREPARATION AND PLANNING

Fritzsche Accounting tax preparation offers experience and personal service.  I interview every client and prepare each return myself.  I have prepared nearly three thousand tax returns since 1990.  I will be your advocate in advising you to claim every deduction and income exclusion the law allows.  I am available for consultation every month of the year.

The nature of the tax preparation business is one of unceasing, often illogical change.  I am committed to keeping up to date on all tax law changes and proposed changes.  I complete at least thirty hours of continuing education in income tax law each year.  Moreover, I subscribe to the tax research tool Kleinrock TaxExpert and several publications including the Journal of Accountancy, The Tax Advisor, Forbes and The Economist.  I monitor the newsgroups misc.taxes.moderated (open to the public) and tax.talk (open to CPA’s only) for new developments and solutions to unusual tax problems.

My tax practice includes the following specialties:

INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX

  • Home based businesses

  • Professionals (doctor, lawyers, executives, etc.)

  • Landlords

  • Multi-state returns

  • Asset sales/transfers

  • Retirees
